Aloha & Welcome.(11-22-07) Something i want to try.... 1 - When You Post In My ◊Write & Write Back Words◊ Box, If you want to: Leave me a random word in your note to use in haiku. 2 - I'll try to return your word with my haiku when i reply and leave another word for anyone who wants to play with their own haiku. 聿 色 赤 brush color red(11-11-07) I'm interested in Art and Mail Art ... ok, and words and some of the other 10,000 things... My photos/images are my own work. ... and... just so you know. i havnt a clue. but you can buy one from me for a Common, preferably water-worn, fist size (your fist) stone that is local to you and near where you live. ...of course i get to choose which clue you are buying because you get to choose which stone you send. you send the stone, i'll send the clue. ok. that is my sometimes esoteric sense of humor. how ever you can actually purchase a clue in the above manner. if you knew me as Wrick on Y360, who likes Art & Mail Art you probably already know me. mostly - this space will be about my art. however now and then something else may appear, in which case that's the way this space should be. more than mostly - have fun. aloha - ѱяϊҫҡ

Hi Rick, coming by to drop some Easter Blessings |

aloha AspenGlow24 - you're welcome. your essay is very much along the lines of my fascination with stones - which goes back just about as far as i can remember and has gone through a number of distinct stages, expanding my circles of appreciation... - i have to say... your gray stone, with the white unbroken band... sounds very much like what i know as a friendship stone. interesting how the stone related to you by connecting to your heart, yes.

oh - so cool Francie - thanks for tapping into haiku here!
recently several people have asked me about haiku and what makes haiku, haiku. i know i've talked about "the rules of haiku" (any number of which can never be followed in one haiku without breaking some other rule) in several places - currently the way i see it, even tho there are concepts, rules and traditions with haiku that are generally accepted, i also know that when new ideas are explored in haiku and work well, these are the haiku that make what is acceptable for the future - and the new rules... so the way i see it - haiku the way you enjoy haiku-ing and have fun.
...another often found characteristic of traditional haiku is humor - which i see as fun. and as far as i'm concerned, fun is a good thing to be doing. so. have fun!
